BREAST AUGMENTATION

A breast augmentation is a surgical procedure where breast implants are placed to increase the volume of the breast. Implant options consist of silicone or saline (salt water). Every patient has different goals and different anatomy. Our team works with you to determine the size, shape, implant type, plane placement, and incision location based on your personal characteristics and desires. Part of the decision making process stems from measurements of your chest wall and an assessment of your rib cage. Many patients have some degree of underlying asymmetry. It is important to assess these asymmetries in order to provide the best symmetric and aesthetic result possible. We specialize in providing a safe and fast recovery using the latest anesthesia protocols in order to prevent nausea and decrease pain. Most of our patients take only ibuprofen and tylenol post-operatively.

Breast Lift

A breast lift is a surgical procedure that involves repositioning the breast tissue and skin in order to give a more youthful appearance. Overtime, gravitational effects lead to ptosis or “sagging” breasts. Other contributors of ptosis can include advancing age, breast volume, a history of breast feeding, and inelastic tissue characteristics. A breast lift can be performed via a variety of incision patterns based on the amount of elevation or lift required. This determination is often based on the location of the nipple and areola complex (the pink circular area around the nipple). Rediscover confidence with a rejuvenated breast appearance.

Reconstruction

Breast reconstruction can include a variety of surgical options following lumpectomy or mastectomy. Our practice works with exceptional breast surgeons, oncologists, and radiologists to ensure a team-based approach to your care. Reduction

A breast reduction is a surgical procedure that decreases the volume of the breast significantly while also lifting and reshaping the breast to be more proportionate to a patient’s overall body type. This surgery involves incisions around the areola (pink circle surrounding the nipple), straight down from the areola to the inframammary fold (breast crease), and along the inframammary fold. Care is taken to preserve the blood supply and nerves to the nipple to minimize changes in sensation and to maintain breastfeeding capabilities. If you are experiencing back or neck pain, shoulder grooving, difficulty finding clothing or bras that fit, have moisture under your breasts, or are limited in daily activities that you enjoy due to the size or your breasts, you may be a good candidate for a breast reduction.

No Implant

For patients that desire modest increased breast volume but do not want an implant, fat grafting may be an option. Fat grafting entails liposuction to remove fat from an undesired location on the body and then transferring that fat to a different location. This is done through a minimal scar technique. Some patients may require several fat transfer procedures in order to achieve optimal results. The result is natural and soft and the results are long-lasting as the fat becomes a part of your breasts.
